Dessers reveals recent injury crisis

Cremonese forward Cyril Dessers has opened up on his struggles with injury, which has influenced his performance.

Dessers started the campaign as the first choice but has not started any of Cremonese’s last three games in the Italian Calcio.

He was dropped for Ghanaian youngster Felix Ofena-Gyan who arrived from AS Roma.

“A few weeks ago, I suffered an injury and after two games without minutes, it wasn’t easy for me.

“Now, however, I’m training well, I have good sensations, and if I can get minutes, I can go back to doing my job as best I can.

Dessers grabbed the headline after coming off the bench to score a brace in the 3-2 defeat to Sassuolo on Monday.

“I’m happy for the two goals, but I can’t be fully satisfied because we wanted to win” he told the club media.

Dessers now has five goals in nineteen league appearances for Cremonese, but his goals might not save the club from relegation.
