Nigerian international Cyriel Dessers starred as Glasgow Rangers recorded an impressive victory away in Turkey in the first leg of their Europa League round of 16 clash.

The 30-year-old scored and provided an assist as the Scottish giants stunned José Mourinho's side 3-1 at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium in Istanbul.

Dessers opened the scoring early in the 5th minute before Ghanaian international Alexander Djiku equalized in the half hour mark.

Vaclav Černý restored Rangers' lead in the 42nd minute before sealing the victory with nine minutes left to play.

José Mourinho and his side will be looking to overturn the tie in the second leg at Ibrox Stadium on Thursday, March 14.
