Super Falcons got a rosy welcome when they arrived in Lagos after winning the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Nigeria beat Morocco 3-2 in the 13th WAFCON final to win their historic 10th title on Saturday night, July 28.
President Bola Tinubu hosted the players, rewarding them with the sum of N152 million each, a national honour known as Officer of the Order of the Niger, and a three-bedroom apartment.
In addition, the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) led by Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq announced the cash reward of N10 million for each players while six Super Eagles players pledged the sum of N1 million each to the 24 Super Falcons team, per Punch.
