Al Nassr forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has reacted to the retirement of Rui Patricio from football.
Ronaldo congratulated the goalkeeper for an illustrious career and thanked him for his services to the Portuguese national team.
Patrício announced the end to his 19-year-old footballing career via a post on the official Instagram page of the Portuguese national team.
Reacting to the post, the 40-year-old Ronaldo, who is the captain of the Portugal national team, sent a message to the 37-year-old:
“Thank you for everything, Rui! Congratulations on your career!”
Rui Patricio made a total of 108 appearances for the national team of Portugal after earning his first cap with the national team in 2010.
At club level, he played for Sporting CP, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Roma, Atalanta, and UAE outfit, Al-Ain.
