Cristiano Ronaldo ends goal scoring drought with stunning flying header

Cristiano Ronaldo brought his three-game goal-scoring drought to an end with a sublime header as Al-Nassr thumped Al-Raed four-nil on Friday evening.

Ronaldo had endured a difficult past few weeks, helplessly watching on as Al-Nassr's league title ambitions slowly slip away while crashing out of the Saudi King Cup.

Nonetheless, the Real Madrid record scorer managed to put the disappointing streak of results behind him to roll back the hands of time, scoring a trademark header to give Al-Nassr a deserved lead against the lowly-placed Al-Raed, Sky Sports reports.

Following a goalmouth scramble Sultan Al Ghannam located Ronaldo with a tailor-measured cross, who made no mistake by carefully narrowing a header into the empty net to give the home side the lead.

His goal opened the floodgates for Al-Nassr as Abdulrahman Ghareeb, Mohammed Maran, and a stunning strike from Al Sulaiheem from long range handed the homes side a confidence-boosting victory, per Sportstar.

With five games to spare, Al-Nassr will hope to keep tabs on league leaders Al Ittihad but will hope to continue their winning streak when they host Al Khaleej on Saturday, May 8.

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most competitive footballers ever and one who lets defeat get to him, as shown many times during the course of his career.

French striker Al-Wehda striker Jean-David Beauguel scored the only goal of the game for Al Wehda in the 23rd minute and approached Ronaldo for a shirt swap at full-time but was rejected.
