Italian Serie A champions Napoli will be expecting Nigeria's Victor Osimhen to report to the club following the conclusion of his season-long loan spell at Galatasaray.
The 26-year-old spent last season on loan with the Turkish giants, where he netted a remarkable 37 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions for the Yellow and Reds.
The former African Footballer of the Year joined the Turkish champions after falling out with the Naples-based club.
Osimhen was expunged from the first team and stripped of his number 9 shirt, which was handed to Romelu Lukaku following his disagreement with the club over his failed move to Al Hilal last summer.
According to Football Italia, Napoli have informed Osimhen to report to the club's complex on July 14 for routine medical checks ahead of the pre-season.
The players are expected to report to the club on July 14 and 15 and train for 10 days in Dimaro, Trentino-Alto Adige, from July 17 to 27.
OwngoalNigeria reports that the Super Eagles striker will not be part of the first team but is expected to train with the youth team to maintain his fitness while sorting out his future with suitors.
This will only be avoided if Osimhen is able to secure a move to another club before the stipulated date for the Napoli players' return.
