Connie Grace, the former long-time girlfriend of Chelsea forward Cole Palmer, has responded to swirling rumors surrounding their alleged breakup.

According to Total Football, Connie had allegedly been pressuring Palmer into a contractual marriage for over a year. However, the England international reportedly declined, stating he was too young for marriage and wanted to focus on his football career.

Connie has remained silent on social media, even as Palmer made headlines for his standout performance at the FIFA Club World Cup. The 23-year-old scored twice and provided an assist as Chelsea stunned European champions Paris Saint-Germain in the final.

In a recent statement to The Sun, Connie denied the marriage proposal claims and revealed she has been subjected to online abuse.

“Don’t believe everything you read online. The lies that people post to get views/likes is so sad! It’s actually wild the amount of abuse I’ve received from grown men in the last 24 hours! No, I have never proposed a marriage lol,” she said.
