Chukwueze celebrated for 200th Villarreal appearances

The management of La Liga side Villarreal has celebrated Super Eagles striker Samuel Chukwueze for his long service to the Spanish La Lig side.

Though Chukwueze made his 200th appearance for Villarreal on April 27 against RCD Espanyol, the Nigerian has increased his total outing for the Yellow Marines to 203 after last weekend’s Villarreal’s 5-1 win over Atletico Bilbao.

In all his outings for the team, Chukwueze has scored 37 goals and 31 assists.

The President of Villarreal CF, Fernando Roig, presented commemorative shirt to Étienne Capoue, Yeremy Pino and Dani Parejo after hitting the 100-game barrier with the Submarine.

Chukwueze also received a commemorative shirt but this one because it is already a bicentennial with Villarreal.

Pino became the youngest player in history to reach 100 games dressed in yellow. He did it on January 13 against Celta de Vigo, at just 20 years, 2 months and 20 days. In his 119 games with Villarreal he has scored a total of 17 goals and has given 11 assists.

Étienne Capoue has also reached 100 official matches with the Submarino shirt, he did it on April 15 against Valladolid.

Capoue arrived at the club in the winter window of the 20/21 season and since then he has played 105 games for the Submarine where he has added 10 goals and 7 assists.

For his part, Dani Parejo completed the 100 games played in LaLiga with Villarreal against Espanyol. He already has 146 clashes with the yellow jersey in just three seasons, being the player who has played the most minutes this season. Since his arrival at the Submarine, Dani has scored 9 goals and has provided 25 assists.
