Chelsea joins Osimhen chase

Premier League giants, Chelsea have lined up Napoli's Victor Osimhen together with four other forwards as a possible replacement for Romelu Lukaku.

The former Everton striker has returned to Inter Milan in the Italian Serie A after an unsuccessful spell at his boyhood club Chelsea last season.

The Belgium international only managed 15 goals in 44 appearances for The Blues.

Daily mail reports that Todd Boehly, who is Chelsea's co-owner and Chairman is working closely with manager Thomas Tuchel to replace Lukaku, and the duo has lined up five forwards with the Nigerian international included.

Osimhen had a decent season with Napoli.

The 23-year-old ended the previous campaign as the top scorer for the I Partenopei despite missing most games due to a facial injury.

The former Lille man bagged 18 goals in 32 appearances for the Spalletti-led side.

Osimhen was also voted as the best Serie A under 23 player of the season.

Chelsea are the latest Premier League club to join the chase for the ex-Lille man's signature.
