Former Nigerian defender Taye Taiwo has shared his thoughts on the UEFA Champions League semifinal clash between Inter Milan and Barcelona.

Inter will welcome the Catalan giants to the San Siro on Tuesday, May 6, for the second leg of the tie after the first leg ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw at Montjuïc last week.

The Nerazzurri will go into the second leg on the back of a narrow 1-0 victory over Verona, while Barcelona came from behind to beat Real Valladolid 2-1 last Saturday.

Speaking ahead of the highly anticipated second-leg encounter, Taiwo urged Simone Inzaghi's side to aim for an early goal to boost their chances of qualifying for the final.

“The two teams are currently tied at 3-3, so Inter have to be very careful when they play at home, he told RG

“If Inter can score an early goal [on Tuesday], I believe they have the quality to go through with their strong defense.”
