Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has acknowledged that his team at the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN) are under pressure.
Nigeria began their campaign with a disappointing 1-0 loss to Senegal last week.
The Home-Based Eagles now face a must-win situation when they take on Sudan in their second Group match later today, Tuesday, August 12.
Speaking ahead of the crucial encounter, Chelle stressed the importance of securing maximum points to keep their qualification hopes alive.
“To stay ambitious, we need to win this game against Sudan,” Chelle said.
“I know there is pressure on us, and it is normal. We are a big country, a great football nation, and we need to do better in the next game.
If we get the three points after the game, it will breathe more life into the group.”
