Super Eagles trio Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, and Calvin Bassey have been named in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Best XI.

The Team of the Tournament was selected by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Technical Study Group.

Eventual winners Senegal and runners-up Morocco both had four players each in the team, with Osimhen, Lookman, and Bassey completing the lineup.

Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou earned his place between the posts after an impressive record of five clean sheets in seven matches.

Calvin Bassey was named in defence alongside Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi and Noussair Mazraoui, as well as Senegal’s Moussa Niakhaté.

Lookman, who registered three goals and four assists during the tournament, was selected in midfield alongside Senegalese duo Idrissa Gana Gueye and Pape Gueye.

Victor Osimhen was named in attack alongside Morocco’s Brahim Díaz and Senegal’s Sadio Mané.
