Bayelsa Queens forward Mercy Itimi says the Nigerian club is only dreaming of winning the CAF Women’s Champions League this season.

The Prosperity Girls qualify for the semi-final of the competition for the first time in their history after beating Wadi Degla on Sunday.

Mercy Itimi was the match-winner as her brace secured the vital win for the Nigerian Champions.

Speaking to CAF official website, Itimi says: “we want to bring the Cup to Nigeria, the forward says.

“To win this tournament and surf on the good results that Nigerian football is currently accumulating.

“We have known everything in this tournament and victory. We started our African campaign very badly.

“Fortunately, after our first outing, the coach cheered us up and cheered us up (laughs). They told us that we play better and are better than that,” she disclosed.

Bayelsa Queens will next face AS FAR for a place in the final of the prestigious tournament.
