Nigerian duo of Abdul Ajagun and Ezekiel Imoh have been sacked by their Belgian Pro League club KV Kortrijk, Brila.net said.

According to reports, the club terminated their contract after it was demoted to the feeders team.

The report says the former Nigerian youth internationals were surplus to requirement with the coach stating that the duo was not part of his plans for the upcoming season.

Both players had a year remaining on their contracts and they both reached the agreement to end their stay with the club, according to Brila.net.

Ajagun, signed for the club from Panathinaikos in 2017 made 74 appearances and scored 10 goals, while Imoh Ezekiel, joined the club from Las Palmas in 2018 and scored six goals and provided two assists.

Ezekiel has earned one senior cap on 6 for Nigeria and part of the squad for the 2016 Summer Olympics, and Ajagun on his part played only for Nigeria at the U-17 and U-20 level.
