Barcelona want free agent Ndidi next summer

Barcelona will move to sign Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi on a free transfer next summer.

Ndidi is into the final months of his contract with Sky Bet Championship club, Leicester City.

The Nigeria international will be free to negotiate with a foreign club from next January.

According to Barca Universal, the combative midfielder is already among the players shortlisted by Barcelona for next summer’s transfer window.

Barcelona’s financial situation has forced them to sign free-agent players in recent times.

The Blaugurana signed free agents İlkay Gündoğan and Iñigo Martínez this summer.

Ndidi has been in fantastic form for Leicester City this season.

The former KRC Genk star has been deployed in an advanced midfield position by Italian manager Enzo Maresca this term.

The player has scored three goals in all competitions for the Foxes in the current campaign.

He joined Leicester City from Belgian Pro League club KRC Genk in January 2017.
