Balogun unavailable for weekend clash - Gerrard

Rangers defender, Leon Balogun will miss his sides league encounter at Livingston on Sunday after suffering quad injury, boss Steven Gerrard has said.

Balogun was replaced by Filip Helander in the 46 minutes of Rangers' victory over St. Johnstone.

At the pre-match new press conference, Steven Gerrard who has been impressed with the Super Eagles centre back since his arrival to the club said "Balogun wont be available"

“Leon Balogun has a small quad problem and we are waiting on results from a scan.”

Meanwhile, Balogun’s international team-mate, Joe Aribo is expected to feature in the game, Brila.net has said.

The midfielder opened his goal account for the season against St Johnstone, scoring Rangers’ third of the night.

Livingston are also expected to parade their Nigerian import, Ambrose Efe in the game.

Rangers sit at the top of the table with nine points from three games.
