Atiku reacts to Arsenal's victory against Man United

Former Vice President and presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar believes Arsenal were deserving winners in their 3-1 Victory against Manchester United.

The Gunners displayed a scintillating performance against the Red Devils at the Emirates stadium on Saturday, April 23.

Goals from Nuno Tavares, Bukayo Saka and Granit Xhaka secure a memorable win for the Gunners and boosted their chances of qualifying for Champions League football next season.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored United’s only goal. Fellow Portuguese star Bruno Fernandez missed from the spot when the game was 2-1.

Many believe Arsenal were lucky to ran away with all three points looking at United’s dominance in the opening 30 minutes of the second half.

However, Atiku Abubakar, who is a staunch Arsenal fan believes Arsenal were the better side. The PDP presidential candidate wrote on his twitter handle.
"The consensus is that Arsenal won as the better team," he said.

The 75-year-old politician will be contesting in next year’s election on the ticket of the PDP, after five unsuccessful attempts, in 1993, 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019.

He also served as Vice president under Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration between 2003 and 2007.
