Atalanta are reportedly considering disciplinary steps against their forward Ademola Lookman regarding the ongoing transfer situation with Inter Milan, with plans to address the matter at the end of the month.
According to today’s edition of the Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported by FCInterNews, Atalanta are expected to fine Lookman and possibly dock his wages.
The 27-year-old forward hasn't attended any training sessions since last weekend, which seems to be his way of trying to influence the transfer to Inter Milan, a club he’s eager to join. Lookman feels that Atalanta promised to sell him this summer and is hoping they will keep their word.
Currently, Lookman isn't in Italy and isn't in contact with Atalanta or his representatives, which has caused some concern for the club.
While Atalanta haven't yet taken any formal action, the Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that they plan to do so soon. Instead of immediate action, they’re opting to wait until the end of the month to address the situation.
As part of their response, the club intends to dock Lookman’s wages for missing training without permission, along with imposing a fine on the Nigerian international.
