Aruna Quadri suffers early exit from Xiaxiang open

Aruna Quadri has crashed out of Xiaxiang open after losing in three sets to Chinese star Lin Yun Ju.

Quadri lost 3-1 (11-7, 11-8, 8-11, 11-4 ) to crash out of the tournament in the first round.

It is the second early knock out for Africa’s number one, following another early exit at the World Tabletennis Championship in Macao last weekend.

He was beaten by Sweden’s Anton Kallberg,11-8, 11-9, 11-9, but the Nigerian was handed the opportunity to compete at Xiaxiang, due to the defeat of Tim Boll.

It’s a second time for Quadri at the WTT Cup Finals after his maiden appearance in Singapore last year.
