Premier League title holders Arsenal are reportedly inching closer to completing a deal for Brazilian international Bruno Guimaraes.
Guimaraes, 29, has been the Gunners prime transfer target this summer as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his midfield option heading into the new campaign.
Sky Sports is reporting that the midfielder has been handed the green light by Newcastle United to travel for his medicals.
The Gunners have agreed on a reported £75m fee with the Magpies for the player's signature.
Guimaraes will become the third big star to leave St. James' Park this summer, following the departure of the likes of Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali.
After ending their over two decades wait for the Premier League title, the Gunners are making signings to defend the title.
