Southampton midfielder Joe Aribo has hailed his side's brilliant performance against Chelsea on Tuesday, August 30.

The Saints came from a goal down to beat Chelsea at the Saint Mary's Stadium to hand Thomas Tuchel's side their second defeat in their last three PL outings.

Raheem Sterling's 23rd-minute strike was cancelled out by Belgian teenage sensation Romeo Lavia before Adam Armstrong scored what proved to be the winner on the stroke of halftime.

Joe Aribo started the game from the bench. The 25-year-old came on as a 60th-minute substitute for Romeo Lavia.

The ex-Glasgow Rangers midfielder took to his Twitter handle to hail the team's performance after the game.

He also congratulated Romeo Lavia for his impressive display against the Blues.

“Solid team performance today! Support was electric ????????????.. congrats lil bro
@RomeoLavia,” he tweeted.

Aribo joined the Saints this summer from Glasgow Rangers.
