The Moshood Abiola National Stadium is one of the biggest multipurpose stadiums in the country.

Located in Abuja, the stadium serves as the home turf for the Nigerian national football team. It is also used for various social, cultural, and religious events.

Built ahead of the 8th All Africa Games which took place in October 2003, the name was changed to the Moshood Abiola stadium by President Muhammadu Buhari on 12 June 2019.

The announcement was made during his speech at the Democracy Day celebration on Wednesday at Eagle Square, Abuja.
