Amusan sets new 100m, 200m records; secures World Championship qualification

Tobi Amusan ran a personal best to win the Women’s 100m at the Don Kirby invitational in Albuquerque.

Amusan clocked a time of 11.14s (0.0) to win the race and hit the qualification standard for the event to the 2022 World Championships in Eugene.She also ran a 22.66s to take home the win in the 200m, which was another personal best in the event.

With her latest time, the 25-year-old has now qualified for three events at the World Championship which will take place in the United States for the very first time.The World Athletic Championship is expected to hold between July 15th-24th of 2022.
