The Super Eagles who have a successful tournament under the late coach Stephen Keshi won the AFCON by beating Burkina Faso thanks to a goal by Sunday Mba. The trophy was the third for the country.

In an Instagram post made available by Raheem Lawal, the 31-year-old explained that he should have made the final list of the team that traveled to South Africa stressing that Daniel Amokachi dropped him.

He also accused Ike Shorunmu for not standing up to defend him when he was dropped from the Super Eagles squad by Daniel Amokachi.

"Amokachi you denied me the MON title in 2013 AFCON. I still got the pain in my heart forever.

“Amokachi you dropped me last minute of 2013 AFCON because you want (sic) to sell some players to Super Eagles.

“But remember that your children have started playing football. Keep resting in peace big boss Keshi.
