Akpom’s hat-trick keeps Boro in race for Championship play-off places

Chuba Akpom continued his incredible run of form in the English Championship, netting for Middlesbrough in the win against Wigan Athletic on Boxing day.

Michael Carrick’s side won the tie 4-1, with Akpom responsible for three of the four goals.
