Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi is set to return from injury after being sidelined on his return from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Ajayi suffered a hamstring injury last month and has missed Hull City’s last seven matches across all competitions.

However, Hull City’s assistant manager, Dean Holden, has disclosed that the 32-year-old is closing in on full fitness.

“Semi (Ajayi) is going well, but again, not back in team training just yet,” he was quoted as saying by Hull Live.

Ajayi joined Hull City as a free agent after his contract with West Brom expired last summer.
