Veteran Nigerian striker Ahmed Musa grabbed a brace as Kano Pillars defeated Shooting Stars 3-1 in a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) fixture on Sunday, May 11.
The 32-year-old broke the deadlock in the 49th minute before Otakho Alexander Aghahowa equalized for Shooting Stars in the 58th minute.
Naziru Auwalu restored Kano Pillars' lead from the spot three minutes later, before Ahmed Musa gave the home side a two-goal cushion with just five minutes left on the clock.
Musa has now increased his goal tally in the NPFL to 10 for Kano Pillars this season.
The brace comes amid rumors of Ahmed Musa's return to the Super Eagles squad ahead of the highly anticipated Unity Cup later this month in London.
The four-nation tournament will feature rivals Black Stars of Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago.
Brentford's Gtech Community Stadium will host the tournament from May 27 to May 31.
