Aghahowa reveals Ndidi's preferred move amid Man United, Everton, Juventus interest

Former Nigeria international Julius Aghahowa has disclosed that Wilfred Ndidi prefers a move to Manchester United amid interest from other clubs.

The 28-year-old is expected to leave Leicester City this summer following the club's relegation from the Premier League.

The Nigerian was close to leaving the King Power Stadium last summer but eventually opted to extend his contract for three more years.

However, a relegation clause was inserted into his new contract, which will allow him to leave for another club for just €9 million.

According to transfer expert Ben Jacobs, the likes of Real Betis, Everton, Juventus, as well as Saudi clubs, have all reportedly shown interest in the Super Eagles midfielder.

Amid the various interests, Aghahowa, who is a close friend of Ndidi, has disclosed that the defensive midfielder wants a move to Old Trafford.

"While Everton and Al Ahly are clearly interested, Ndidi hopes to join Man Utd," Aghahowa told Africa Foot.

"He wants to take a step up by signing for a big club like Man Utd. This would be an excellent move for someone I consider one of the best African midfielders of recent years. He is powerful, capable of pressing, winning back balls, and opening up the game with his long diagonal runs.

"Wilfred is the player the Red Devils need in midfield. He is surprisingly generous and capable of putting in the hard yards and covering a lot of space. He would be a considerable asset to the Manchester club if the transfer were to go through."
