Super Eagles attacker Ademola Lookman has deleted all posts of Atalanta on his Instagram page after the club rejected Inter Milan's opening bid for him on Friday, August 1.
Since the turn of the year, it has been established that Lookman will leave Atalanta this summer despite having two years left on his contract.
He was supposed to leave last summer, but La Dea blocked the transfer. However, this summer, the club is willing to do business.
Lookman has been linked with Arsenal, Manchester United, West Ham, and Atletico Madrid this summer. But none of them have made an offer yet.
Meanwhile, news broke last week that former Serie A champions Inter Milan want to sign Lookman. The Nerazzurri, who are looking to rebuild under new coach Cristian Chivu, have wasted little time, as they sent in a €45 million bid last week.
But according to the latest reports from Italian transfer expert Nicolo Schira, Atalanta have rejected their offer. La Dea are insisting on at least €50 million guaranteed before they let their most-prized asset leave.
In fact, they are offering Lookman a new deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2029, with a bigger package of €4.5 million per year. But the former Fulham man insists that he is not interested.
Ademola #Lookman is not convinced to extend his contract with #Atalanta and has no changed his plans: he would like to join #Inter. If Inter increase their bid around €50M, Atalanta could give the green light to the sale. Up to Inter decide if making a new bid or not. #transfers https://t.co/ZX3NhhobLb
