Two countries have been eliminated from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, Round of 16 stage in Morocco.

DAILY POST reports that the two countries are Sudan and Tunisia.

This comes after the conclusion of Saturday’s AFCON Round of 16 fixtures.

Recall that Sudan failed to progress to the quarter-final after losing 3-1 against Senegal.

Similarly, Tunisia also did not make it to the last-8 after losing 3-2 via penalty shoot-out against Mali.

Tunisia and Mali had played a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes in the Round of 16 tie.

Meanwhile, more Round of 16 fixtures will take place today, Sunday, as the host nation, Morocco, will take on Tanzania.

Cameroon will clash with South Africa in the other last-16 fixture later tonight.
