Four Super Eagles stars risk missing the team’s knockout game due to suspension ahead of their last group-stage encounter against Uganda.
Nigeria will lock horns with the Cranes of Uganda at the Fez Stadium, Fes, later today, Tuesday, December 30.
The three-time African champions will be looking to make it three wins out of three, having beaten Tanzania and Tunisia in their opening two games.
Ahead of the clash, four key players—Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Semi Ajayi, and Stanley Nwabali—are walking a disciplinary tightrope after receiving a booking in the opening two games.
Another booking for any of these players against Uganda will see the player suspended for the round-of-16 clash.
To avert this, Eric Chelle might deploy Francis Uzoho in post in place of Chippa United’s Stanley Nwabali.
According to Daily Post, the Malian tactician is likely to play Zaidu Sanusi as a centre-back to replace Semi Ajayi.
Paul Onuachu will also replace Victor Osimhen up front, with Samuel Chukwueze taking the place of Ademola Lookman.
A victory for the Super Eagles will see them cement their spot as Group C winners.
