All is set for the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations following the conclusion of the round of 16 fixtures on Tuesday, January 6.

Defending champions Ivory Coast and the Desert Foxes of Algeria became the latest teams to book their places in the last eight, joining the likes of Morocco, Nigeria, Egypt, Senegal, Mali, and Cameroon.

Algeria edged the Democratic Republic of Congo by a lone goal in the dying minutes of extra time in what was a tense encounter to set up a meeting with Nigeria.

The Elephants of Côte d'Ivoire eased past West African neighbours Burkina Faso with a 3-0 victory to seal their place in the last eight against Egypt.
