AC Milan will tempt Royale Union Saint-Gilloise with an offer of €15m for star striker Victor Boniface, according to reports in Italy.

It is understood that the Rossoneri plan to sign Boniface as they begin the move to rejig their forward line ahead of next season, after what has been a shambolic title defense this term.

AC Milan have found it difficult to get goals this season, which sums up their poor domestic campaign.

Stefano Pioli’s side have relied on contract rebel Rafael Leao for goals, while the likes Olivier Giroud, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Divock Origi are struggling for form and injuries.

AC Milan director Paolo Maldini feels it is necessary to go in another direction next season, with Victor Boniface one of the players penciled down to join the club.

Boniface has been fantastic this season, with a goal involvement of 21 across all competitions for his club, with Eight (six goals, two assists) of them coming in the Europa League.

Tuesday’s edition of Tuttosport (via SempreMilan.it), clearly stated that, Milan want the player and will offer €15m to Union Saint-Gilloise.

The Rossoneri aren’t satisfied with Divock Origi’s recent performance and are convince, it’s time to bring in someone else to replace him.“Among the main names under observation is 22-year-old Victor Boniface, a Nigerian striker for Union Saint-Gilloise in Belgium,” the website wrote.

Boniface scored 11 goals in 13 games this year between Champions League qualifiers and the Europa League for Bodo/Glimt and Union SG, while he has six goals in 30 league appearances.

Meanwhile, Milan aren’t the only club interested in Boniface, Napoli, Lazio, and Union Berlin are said to be watching the 22 year-old closely.
