The Super Eagles of Nigeria have booked their place in the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers playoffs after a remarkable 4-1 victory over Gabon in extra time.
The three-time African champions dispatched the Panthers in Rabat, Morocco to keep their World Cup hopes alive.
Sevilla forward Akor Adams gave Eric Chelle's side the lead in the 78th minute before Galatasaray midfielder Mario Lemina pecked Nigeria back with a late equalizer in the 86th minute to force the game into extra time.
Substitute Chidera Ejuke restored Nigeria's lead in the 98th minute before Victor Osimhen added a brace in minutes 102 and 110 to wrap up a comprehensive victory for Eric Chelle's side.
Nigeria will face the winner of the other semifinal tie between the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
