The CAF edition of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers has entered its final stretch, with two matches left to conclude the qualifying series.
Nine countries will represent the African continent at next summer's Mundial, which will be hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
One additional team will compete in the FIFA play-off tournament.
Morocco and Tunisia are the two African countries that have already cemented their spots at the global showpiece next year.
The other countries that will take the remaining spots will be officially confirmed by next week.
Egypt (Group A, 20 points), Senegal (Group B, 18 points), Benin Republic (Group C, 14 points), Cape Verde (Group D, 19 points), Côte d’Ivoire (Group F, 20 points), Algeria (Group G, 19 points), and Ghana (Group I, 19 points) are in pole position to qualify for the Mundial.
