Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha has been shortlisted among the nominees for the 2026 Ballon d’Or award.

The 40-year-old goalkeeper is one of 10 shot-stoppers who have been nominated for the Yashin Trophy by France Football.

Morocco’s Yassine Bounou and Senegal’s Édouard Mendy joined the Colo-Colo shot-stopper as the African goalkeepers who have been shortlisted for the prestigious award.

The likes of Real Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois, Arsenal’s David Raya and Barcelona’s Joan García also made the shortlist.
