Former Nigerian international Victor Ikpeba has backed the Super Eagles to beat Rwanda and South Africa in the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The three-time African champions have managed just one victory in six qualifying matches.
Eric Chelle's side risks missing out on the next Mundial should they fail to beat the Amavubi and Bafana Bafana next month.
Nigeria currently sits fourth in Group C, six points adrift of group leaders South Africa, who have managed 13 points in six matches.
The Super Eagles will host Rwanda in their seventh fixture in the qualifiers at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Saturday, September 6, before facing South Africa in what will be a cracker four days later.
Bafana Bafana will host Nigeria at Bloemfontein.
Ahead of the crucial encounters, Ikpeba has expressed confidence in Eric Chelle's team to deliver good results this time.
“There’s pride, determination, and honour in playing for your country. I believe the boys are now ready and determined to do the job against Rwanda and South Africa,” he told SuperSport.
