2023 African Games: Nigeria, Ghana set to face off in men's 100m final

Both Nigeria and Ghana will be competing in the men's 100m final event at the 13th edition of the African Games currently ongoing in Accra.

On parade will be Nigeria's Usheoritse Itsekiri who qualified for the final with a time of 10.29s.

He was the second fastest athlete in the men's 100m semi-final race on Monday, March 18.

Ghana's Benjamin Azamati will also be on parade for the highly anticipated finals after he recorded a time of 10.41s in the second semifinal race.

Cameroon's unsung hero Emmanuel Alobwede who won the second 100m semifinal race after clocking a time of 10.23s will also be in action.

The men's 100m final race is scheduled to take place at 19:20 local time at the University of Ghana Stadium, Legon.

Nigeria have so far won 78 medals and sit in second place on the medal table behind Egypt with 158 medals.

The likes of Tobi Amusan and Ese Brume are yet to compete at the games. Amusan will be in action for the first time in the women's 100mH event later on Tuesday, March 19 (today).
