Udinese forward Nicolò Zaniolo has lavished praise on Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye following his impressive performance against Parma in Serie A.

Okoye featured prominently as the Zebras ended their six-game losing streak with a goalless draw at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.

The 27-year-old recorded his first clean sheet of the season after saving Adrián Bernabé’s penalty in the 69th minute.

The Nigerian international had conceded in his previous nine games for the Zebras, letting in 18 goals in the process.

Zaniolo was full of praise for Okoye after the encounter, singling out the former Sparta Rotterdam shot-stopper for his role in securing the crucial away point that ended their losing streak.

“It's not the first time Maduka has saved us. I love him; he's a good person and a fantastic goalkeeper.

“Today, thanks to him, we broke our losing streak and got a point away from home that moves us up the table,” Zaniolo told the club's official website.
