Paul Ibe, an aide to presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, has questioned APC National Youth Leader Dayo Israel for donating seven brand-new 2026 Toyota Prado SUVs for party operatives.

According to Ibe, Israel shared photos of the vehicles on social media, thanked First Lady Remi Tinubu for her support, and subsequently deleted the post.

"But deleting the pictures does not erase the questions," Atiku's aide said on X.

He lamented that while Nigerians struggle with crushing food prices, exorbitant energy costs, unemployment and multidimensional poverty, the ruling party is distributing luxury SUVs for political mobilisation.

"This is yet further indication that corruption is supreme in the Tinubu-led APC government.

"Meanwhile, Tinubu asks Nigerians to sacrifice while his party operatives enjoy luxury. Is sacrifice only for the poor?

"We demand that Mrs Tinubu, Dayo Israel and the APC publicly disclose:

1. The total cost of the seven vehicles and the identities of their purchasers.
2. The source of the funds, including the names of donors and evidence of payment.
3. Whether any funds, assets or other resources belonging to the Federal Government, the so-called Office of the First Lady or any government agency were involved.
4. The identities of the beneficiaries and the purpose of the donations.

"We further call on the EFCC and INEC to examine the funding arrangements, establish whether public resources were diverted to partisan activities, and determine compliance with applicable campaign-finance laws.

"The Nigerian treasury is not the APC's campaign purse, and the Presidency must not become the ruling party's election-financing machinery.

"Deleting the post cannot delete the demand for accountability," he said.
