Bayern Munich director, Max Eberl, has provided the latest update on manager Vincent Kompany's condition after the Belgian collapsed on Friday.

Kompany reportedly collapsed during a training session with Bayern Munich's reserve team on Friday ahead of their Bundesliga clash with Freiburg on Sunday.

The former Manchester City centre-back was rushed to a hospital in Munich.

Providing an update on Kompany's condition, Eberl said that the head coach is in a stable condition at the moment.

“The good news is that he is stable. Obviously, it was a difficult moment for all of us," Eberl said via @iMiaSanMia.

“He collapsed on the pitch yesterday and is now in hospital, where he will remain for a few more days while they establish exactly what happened, carry out all the examinations, and check everything thoroughly."
