Presidential spokesperson Daniel Bwala has slammed presidential candidate Peter Obi over his address to Diasporans in Manchester concerning the coming 2027 general election.

Obi was seen in a video advising Diasporans on how to ensure that Nigeria gets the right leader come 2027.

He said, "You have people at home who are begging you for money. Tell them no, let's put somebody who has proven... I said I'm not a saint, but at least I have said something."

Reacting, Bwala described Obi's statement as wicked and desperate.

He shared on X, "Have you seen the wickedness of the wicked? @PeterObI said this while speaking to Nigerians in Manchester: 'Even if your parents are dying, do not send them money until this government is voted out'. Meaning that your parents should rather die than he (Peter Obi) loses the election (which he will never win, though)

"By now, this must be clear to the voters to know how desperate and wicked he is; but also that he is very aware of the bullish nature of the Obidients and that he implicitly endorses what they do.

"His ambition is worth more than the life of our parents? Wow."
