Paris FC winger Moses Simon has declared the Super Eagles' intention to secure victory in their international friendly against Russia.

Russia will host the three-time African champions at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium later today (Tuesday, October 6).

Speaking in a pre-match press conference on Monday, Simon, who will captain the team stated emphatically that the team did not travel for long hours to lose the game.

“We didn’t come here to lose, we can’t fly for long hours to come here to lose, we came to win also,” Simon said.

“I’m not the only star, every young player in the team is also a star. This is our job, we go everywhere to play, we signed for it so we will go and give everything.”

Simon recently featured in his 100 caps for Super Eagles, becoming the fifth player to reach this remarkable milestone after Joseph Yobo, Vincent Enyeama, Ahmed Musa and Alex Iwobi.

Eric Chelle's side will be looking to bounce back from the 3-0 defeat to Guinea-Bissau in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
