President Bola Tinubu has thrown a shade at former Governor of Osun State Rauf Aregbesola by calling him Half Salary.

Aregbesola, a former Minister of Interior, was nicknamed Half Salary or Baba Hafusa for always paying half salary to Osun State civil servants.

Tinubu brought back memories of those days when he received Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke at the presidential villa in Abuja.

He told Adeleke,“In Osun State, I know a man I raised who’s nicknamed ‘Half Salary'.”

Tinubu u and Aregbesola were once great allies before their fallout prior to the 2023 presidential election won by Tinubu.

While Tinubu remains in the All Progressives Congress, Aregbesola has pitched his tent with the African Democratic Congress, sitting as the party's National Secretary.
