Aston Villa midfielder, Morgan Rogers, arrived for a medical with Chelsea Monday morning ahead of completing a £117m move, Sky Sports reports.
If the medical is successful, Rogers will sign a six-year contract with the Blues, with the option of another year until 2033.
The 23-year-old flew back from the USA on Sunday following England’s third-place finish at the World Cup.
He is now set to complete a move to Stamford Bridge in the coming days.
Chelsea moved quickly to seal the deal ahead of Arsenal, who were not willing to go to that price, despite Rogers being their number one forward target.
The £117m fee will be a new British record for a footballer.
