Security operatives have been deployed to quell a clash between Yoruba traders and Hausa scrap dealers along Ojo-Iwo expressway in Ibadan, Oyo State.

According to an eyewitness, the clash was instigated by the Hausa scrap dealers, leading to Yoruba traders vowing to take their own pound of flesh.

According to a video on social media, a man was badly injured, with cutlass marks on the back of his neck as a result of the clash.

The video also showed soldiers, policemen and Amotekun operatives at the scene to prevent further escalation.

The incident has caused a heavy gridlock along the expressway, with commuters advised to seek alternative routes.
