24 ships discharging petroleum products, goods at Lagos ports – NPA

The Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, has disclosed that 24 ships are currently discharging petroleum products and other commodities at the Apapa, Lekki Deep Sea and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos State.

According to the authority, the vessels are offloading various consignments, including bulk wheat, bulk salt, general cargo, fresh fish, containers, bulk sugar, petrol, bulk gas, diesel and bulk urea.

An additional 46 vessels carrying petroleum products, food supplies and other goods are expected to arrive at the Lagos ports in the coming days.


The NPA stated that the incoming ships are expected to convey general cargo, bulk urea, crude oil, bulk gas, bulk wheat, bulk millet, bulk sugar, condensate, aviation fuel, containers loaded with assorted goods, bulk salt and petrol.

The authority further disclosed that nine vessels had already arrived at the ports and were awaiting berthing approval.
