A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Joe Igbokwe, has urged the Southeast to forget about Biafra and build bridges with other Nigerians.
In a post on Facebook, Igbokwe urged Igbo people of Southeast to put an end to the killing of their people all in the name of trying to achieve a Biafra Republic.
He also urged Igbos to warn their children to stop abusing other Nigerians on Social Media.
He wrote, "WHAT SOUTH EAST MUST DO NOW:
Let us go and make friends across Nigeria
Let us go and build bridges of friendship, trust and cooperation
Let us stop this paranoid grandiosity
Let us do away with this selfish sense of superiority
Let us do away with this “I Better Than Others” syndrome.
Let us learn what the erudite scholars call cultural competence
Let us learn that politics is a game of numbers
Let us stop this senseless agitation for useless Biafra project
Let Igbo stop killing their own people and burning homes in the name of the useless Biafra project
Let us have emotional intelligence and reject ethnic preoccupation
Let us not be too loud, let us stop the noise and do the needful
Let us rebuke our Children to stop abusing other Nigerians on Social Media."
