Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has been crowned the Player of the Season for Serie A club Udinese.

Okoye, 25, has been in impressive form for the Zebras throughout the 2025/26 campaign.

Despite enduring a two-month suspension over betting offences at the beginning of the season, the former Watford goalkeeper bounced back strongly with some solid performances for the club.

Okoye pulled off some remarkable performances in Serie A games against giants like Juventus and AC Milan.

The Nigeria international recorded 10 clean sheets in 26 appearances for Udinese.

He was also named in the Serie A Team of the Month for May.

With Stanley Nwabali still searching for a club following his exit from Chippa United in the PSL, it remains to be seen if Okoye will reclaim the number one spot in goal for Nigeria.
