Serah Ibrahim, an estranged ally of former presidential candidate Peter Obi, has stated that some members of the Obidient Movement were paid N2k each to participate in a protest at the Federal High Court in 2023.
The court at the time was set tod eliver judgment in the case by Obi challenging the electoral victory recorded by President Bola Tinubu.
The revelation came to light in a now-deleted social media post from Serah Ibrahim while she angrily fired back at fellow Obidient Barry Avotu for claiming to have started the Obidient Movement, which supports Obi.
Sherah Ibrahim alleged that she paid Avotu ₦100,000 to mobilise supporters during the 2023 Labour Party court hearings.
She wrote on X, "Barry are you ok? You started what movement? | literally hired you in 2023 to mobilize people for the court and we paid you. You didn't even know where LP office was located or where the court was. What do you know about Obidient Movement? You didn't even know anything. Don't piss me off, better take Dr. Tanko and Peter Obi off your mouth."
